C reating a high-quality icon family requires a thoughtful approach, a trained eye, a bit of iteration, and a lot of practice. The goal is to tune you to the key attributes of great icon design. In this flurry of symbols, which are clear to you? Drivers learn these over time, but many are unintuitive; you need a manual to decipher their meaning. Can you guess what they mean?

The cost of confusion for VSCO is low as it only takes a few taps to figure out what each icon stands for. The cost for driving is much higher. This is why car tell-tales are standardized ; the intention is to build shared understanding. She arrived at this abstract symbol, also found in Nordic place-of-interest signs. It will check for, and download, any available updates each time the user runs the program. That makes it simple to maintain as long as you allow it to self-updateand means that deploying Teams is basically a task of running the installer once, and then not running it again.

Before you deploy the Teams client you should verify that Teams in your Office tenant is configured the way you want it. Teams configuration is demonstrated in my Getting Started with Microsoft Teams article. Although Teams is included with eligible Office plans, it can be enabled and disabled on a per-user basis.

If you have had Teams disabled during the preview phase, now is the time to turn it back on. Helpfully, that also means I have a security group already in place that I can target my Group Policy to. Download the Microsoft Teams installer using the links above, and place the files on a network share that users and computers can read from. If you deploy an old package, the Teams application will self-update automatically. However, you should keep your deployment share updated on a regular basis with the latest install packages to save time.

The Teams setup. For example, to silently install Microsoft Teams, the following command line can be used:. Any deployment script for the setup. A logon script assigned by Group Policy meets that requirement. As a side note, when Teams is uninstalled it leaves the Update. So checking for Update. If you are filtering the GPO to a specific security group, remember to also add Authenticated Users to the Delegation tab of the Group Policy and grant them Read but not Apply permissions.

At next Group Policy refresh and logon the Teams client will silently install for the user, and place a Microsoft Teams icon on their desktop. The MSI package for Teams behaves a little differently than the setup. Microsoft has provided a cleanup script that you can run to remove the leftover files, and then the Teams installer should be able to successfully install the app for the user. After Teams has installed, it will automatically launch for the user and prompt them for their sign-in credentials.

Microsoft has provided multiple software packages for Teams so that we can choose the best deployment method for our environment. The setup. In either case, the installer is smart enough to detect existing installs, and avoid reinstalling on uninstalled systems.Download Desktop YouTube 2.

Windows programs, for example, won't run in Linux because they contain instructions that the system can't understand until they're translated by the Windows environment. Linux programs, likewise, won't run under the Windows operating system because Windows is unable to interpret all of their instructions. This situation presents a fundamental problem for anyone who wants to run software for both Windows and Linux.

When a Windows program is needed, the user boots the machine into Windows to run it; when a Linux program is then needed, the user then reboots the machine into Linux.Asked by smfrmycitrix.

XenApp 6. I searched for this, but found nothing specific to my environment and issue. I am hoping to find some additional help. I have the policy in my farm set to allow the mapping of drives, but no user's C drives are showing in Published Desktop, or any other published application.

I am seeing all other user's local drives, such as "d" for the CDROM and higher letters for flash drives, and network drives. On occasion I see a "V" drive mapped as the client drive, but this drive is actually the C drive of the server, not the user's local C drive from his or her computer. I do not want users to see this particular mapping of the server's C drive. What am I missing? I would really like for users to have access to his or her C drive of the machine they are logged in from, just as they can see their other drives within the Citrix Published application.

Let me know, and thank you in advance for any assistance.

I now have client drives working correctly. Also, I checked the first server in my farm and adjusted the setting for Client Fixed Drives from 'disabled' to 'enabled' via the Group Policy tool not the DSC on that server. I then checked all my other Citrix servers and they were all set to 'enabled'. If I change one server using the Group Policy tool on the Citrix server, will it change the policy for all of them?

I had a few users log in after the change, and now they can see their local C drives listed. Hope this info helps others. Edited by: smfrmycitrix on May 16, PM. My thoughts are that it doesn't matter where you control them, as long as you're consistent and only controlling them from one or the other.

Purpose is to minimize the size of the pbix-file by eliminating tables i didn't use any more, or delete fields in a table if i didn't use it in a calculation of another field or in a measure or in a visual. Perhaps there is also a possibility to get a list of items used in a visual?

Couple ways but probably much more manual than what you want. In Desktop, if you click on a visual in the Fields pane, it will highlight the table and columns that used in that visual. Also, if you click the ellipses and choose Export data, it will only export the columns used in the visual.

If you expand it, you will see data fields used which is selected in this visual.

How to find your user account folders through the C drive in Windows

Currently, this is the only way to find those data fields in use. I wonder if anyone has submitted a feature request for this. I have a project with lots and lots of visuals.

That'll take ages. But I would like to eliminate all unneccessary fields. Not sure if you've got anywhere with this, considering it's a year old. I'm too going through this process now. I'm then looking at the tabular editor tool which allows you to check for dependancies on measures.

Can you give me more information about how you get the list of visuals and the list of fields used in those visuals, filters,?

This is a JSON file. Your answer was very helpful! I notice that in each section there are visualContainers and inside them there are : id, x, y, z, width, height, config, filters, query, dataTransforms and etc. I tried to find the fields that I see in query and metadata but I couldn't find all of them Can you tell the meaning of query and metadata in the visual layout?

If you use a user ID to log in Windows 7, you will have a profile created by the system that is dedicated to you. No one else but the users who have the admin rights can access them. Other than documents, pictures, or videos, a user profile also has a series of folders that stores some important data for specific applications.

For example, Microsoft Outlook stores many settings, configuration files under AppData folder. Because of that, I often need to access those folders to either troubleshoot or copy the settings. But here is a quick trick that I found and used to have saved so much my time. The trick is to use the environment variables that are preset by the system when a user logs into the computer. The environment variables are vary depending on the system you are using and the software you have installed but there are some that are pretty much the same all the time.
