Grafana auto scroll

Wondering if Grafana supports rendering an iframe from an external source a la NewRelic as a dashboard panel. I went onto the docs site and couldn't find anything specific to sourcing from a third party iframe only about embedding grafana dashes into iframes. Currently running Grafana 3.

This element has some content that needs to be scrolled. I can not understand why scrolling does not work on mobile devices?

By the way, Grafana 4. Not sure. As a test, I created a new dashboard with one panel - Text panel. Very strange. Even if I select a device in the developer tools, it still does not work. Here is an exampled code that I run: git hub And here is showing video the result of the work: on Grafana 4 and on Grafana 5 It should be noted that when I switch the mode I update the page.

Thanks for taking the time to create the scroll test and the videos - will test this out and see if I can find the reason. Hmm, not seeing the same thing you are seeing. Cannot reproduce this in the Chrome dev tools. It is not working on my iPhone but it is different from your repro - the scroll bar is not visible at all.

It is something to do with the max-height css property combined with the actual height of the panel. If the height of the panel is greater than px then scrolling will not work on mobile. Scrolling does work if you either increase the max-height property or make the panel smaller or just remove the max-height property.

Would just removing the max-height property work in your case? The panel will scroll automatically if the content overflows the panel.

This div scrolls on desktop but not on mobile:. Without it, I can not make the div scrollable. From documentation:. In order for overflow to have an effect, the block-level container must have either a set height height or max-height or white-space set to nowrap. However, we noticed a performance regression when scrolling inside of Grafana. In chrome and firefox on OSX I can't notice any sluggishnesswe are using a js framework to handle the scrollbar as the native scrollbar takes up space and looks absolutely horrible and not all browser allow you to change style nor overlay them.

Oh, sorry, in a previous version of the text I mentioned that I tested this with Chrome 64 I can confirm, if you have a dashboard with many panels it moves slower than on the latest 4. Tested on both Chrome Chiming in here, noticeable difference in scrolling between 5. Feels much choppier. Desktop Safari Version Trying to recreate this on mac and linux here but not seeing what happens on Torkel's mac. When Torkel showed this to us on Saturday, then scrolling stopped working after 2 or 3 seconds.

Not just slower but actually stopped working. I'm not sure I really see any difference. Ok, on iOS Will test disabling the perfect-scrollbar for mobile and see if there is a major difference. Alright, here are the two videos you requested. However, due to the dashboards not being very complex, it's rather difficult to see the difference.

In the video showing the behavior of Grafana 5. What is quite noticeable is the difference in general scrolling behavior: On 4. Video 4 Video 5. Is there an easy way to disable perfect-scrollbar during runtime to check if I can reproduce my findings in our production Grafana? This looks similar to when Torkel showed me scrolling perf on his macbook.

We tested on a different macbook today and the scrolling is fine there. So not sure what the difference is. I'll be talking to Torkel tomorrow so we can do some more testing with his macbook. I think by setting overflow: autoit is turning off momentum scrolling. The other problem with nested divs not scrolling is a perfect-scrollbar problem and is not related to this. I've noticed that while scrolling it tends to suddenly stop when the mouse enters the legend of a graph.Learn about Grafana the monitoring solution for every database.

Open Source is at the heart of what we do at Grafana Labs. When an alert changes state, it sends out notifications. Each alert rule can have multiple notifications. In order to add a notification to an alert rule you first need to add and configure a notification channel can be email, PagerDuty or other integration.

This is done from the Notification Channels page. On the Notification Channels page hit the New Channel button to go the page where you can configure and setup a new Notification Channel.

You specify a name and a type, and type specific options. When this option is checked additional notifications reminders will be sent for triggered alerts. You can specify how often reminders should be sent using number of seconds sminutes m or hours hfor example 30s3m5m or 1h etc. Important: Alert reminders are sent after rules are evaluated. Therefore a reminder can never be sent more frequently than a configured alert rule evaluation interval.

When checked, this option will disable resolve message [OK] that is sent when alerting state returns to false. Email notifications will upload an image of the alert graph to an external image destination if available or fallback to attaching the image to the email. Be aware that if you use the local image storage email servers and clients might not be able to access the image. You can follow Sending messages using Incoming Webhooks on how to do that.

If you want to include screenshots of the firing alerts in the Slack messages you have to configure either the external image destination in Grafana or a bot integration via Slack Apps.

If you are using the token for a slack bot, then you have to invite the bot to the channel you want to send notifications and add the channel to the recipient field.

If an alert panel defines these tag keys, then they are transposed to the root of the event sent to Pagerduty. This means they will be available within the Pagerduty UI and Filtering tools. The webhook notification is a simple way to send information about a state change over HTTP to a custom endpoint.

Using this notification you could integrate Grafana into a system of your choosing. Instructions in Chinese. Only the link message type is supported. There are a couple of configuration options which need to be set up in Grafana UI under Kafka Settings:.

Once these two properties are set, you can send the alerts to Kafka for further processing or throttling.Learn about Grafana the monitoring solution for every database.

Open Source is at the heart of what we do at Grafana Labs. This is a plugin meant to be used as a centralized view for the status of component in a glance. It is very similar to the Single Stat panel, but it can hold multiple values from the same data source.

Each value can be used to customize the panel in different ways:. Lets say that you want to monitor a bunch of servers, and you want to keep track of multiple stats for each of them, and see in a glance the status of all of them. This plugin will make it easier to do. You just add all the metrics you want to track, and choose how you want their values to be treated:.

You can also repeat the panel on a template if you have multiple instances that you want to watch. The plugins has a 'Remove Prefix' field in the configuration. This field is meant for easier renaming of the panels when you repeat them from a Grafana template.

When you want to display just part of the value for a specific metric in the screen, you can pass a regex in the Value Regex field, and if there is match, Only the first match will be displayed. Otherwise, the original value will be displayed. Lets say that you want your user to be able to get instructions on what to do when a certain metric is at Warning or Critical levels. Just put a link in this field and the name will become clickable, and send your user to the URL like an internal wiki.

If there is not data from any of the metrics, you can show the panel as disabled in Greyby checking the value Make panel gray when no data on the top of the options tab.

Currently the plugin was tested with influxDB and Graphite. Support for other data sources could be added by demand. When upgrading there might be some changes in the data the plugin uses and saves, so some of the configurations you made might be removed by accident. To prevent this loss of configuration you should save the panel JSON of all panels you have by exporting the panel or dashboards and keep them somewhere safe until you made sure everything is working after the upgrade.

You just add all the metrics you want to track, and choose how you want their values to be treated: Component severity marker - Set the threshold for each and you get an overview that will report to you if there is anything wrong with any of the metrics.

This means that if all the metrics are in the OK state, the panel will be green. Component disable marker - Set the exact value that represents if the component is disabled, the panel will be grey. Display as text - show extra information about the component in the panel. Severity and text values can be shown in 2 modes: Regular - under the panel title. Annotation - In the top left side of the panel.

Note: The disable markers are prioritized over the severity ones. One other observation: separate panel scrollbars seem to be linked somehow. If I look at the properties the width is constantly expanding but the offset isn't.
